So, have many of you ever tried online dating? I have dappled in it a couple of times, but never had the nerve to actually go out on a date. I finally broke up with my boyfriend for the last time and have signed up for eHarmony. It's an okay site I think. They give you matches and you look at their pictures (if they have them) and their profile and decide whether or not to start up a conversation with them. But eHarmony makes you go through multiple answer and ask questions sessions that I find a little too much. Although it does give you more info about the person, you don't remember all of their answers when you finally get to chat with them. So far for me, I have two men that I am chatting with. We shall see what happens. But I am not ready to meet anyone just yet. Do any of you have success stories? How has online dating worked for you? Are there other sites besides eHarmony and Yahoo Personals that I can check out? Let me know, I would be very interested to know.
UGG
That was how I met my fiance and best friend/sister. Not that I date her lol.
1I found that while I met alot of guys who talked the talk only he was the real deal. If he had not passed away by a car wreak (long story) we would have been together 7 years now. My sister / best friend found her husband via online as well. The same place (rp place) I can think of atleast half a dozen who met via it and married and happily still.
Sometimes life just holds a future elsewhere or with people we would otherwise not have met.
I've met every single one of my boyfriends online...
They've all been amazing people..
And my fiance is the best guy ever
I am so lucky
2wow, that gives me hope. I haven't really heard of any first hand success stories from anyone I know of online dating. Thanks for your stories.
3I haven't signed up to date online, but I did meet my hubby online. He had just gotten a baby ferret, and I had a ferret. He had no idea how to care for it so a mutual friend of ours gave him my e-mail address. We sent friendly e-mails back and forth for about a year (we were both dating other people so we really weren't interested in anything more than a friendship). Then, both of our relationships ended so we chatted on the phone for about 3 more months, and finally agreed to meet after my friend assured me he wasn't a psycho! lol We already knew we had a lot in common and we shared the same values. I knew I'd marry him the day we actually met (we married 6 months later). That was 9 years ago next month, and other than his deployments, we haven't been apart since.
